This year PSHS System gave out 98 names to PSHS Western Visayas Campus, there are 18 (Diliman) main campus passers. However, the 18 are all from the vicinity of Iloilo City. Since there are only 90-slots available but there are 98 names, enrollment will be done on a first-come, first-served basis. Delegates attend Strategic and Financial Management Workshop

The PSHS System conducted a Strategic Planning and Financial Management Workshop for CY 2013 which was held in Davao City last September 10-14, 2012. Each campus was represented by 6 delegates. From the Western Visayas Campus, the following composed the team: Ms. Shena Faith M. Ganela ( Campus Director), Mr. Ronald Cruz (Accountant), Ms. Ma. Emidith Vivian Joseph (Budget Officer), Mr. Reynaldo Lulu (FAD Chief), Mr. Edward Albaracin (CISD Chief) and Mrs. Eilleen P. Ocampo (SSD Chief). The event was hosted by the Southern Mindanao Campus and was held in Grand Menseng Hotel.

Trio emerged as Grand Champion at the APT JSO

Three students from the Philippine Science High School Western Visayas Campus (PSHS-WVC) in Iloilo and three students from PSHS Central Luzon Campus in Clark represented the Philippines at the ASEAN PLUS THREE JUNIOR SCIENCE ODYSSEY (APT JSO) held in Brunei Darussalam from June 10-17, 2012. PSHS-WVC students were Magin Benedict Ferrer, Ina May Sison and Vicah Adrienne Villanueva. The three students from PSHS Central Luzon Campus in Clark were Gabriel Pineda, Gabriel Sophia Seva and Michael Eubanas. They were accompanied by teachers Ms. Flordeliza Remonde from PSHS-WVC, Mr. Arnold Pitpetunge from PSHS-CLC, and Dr. Josette T. Biyo, PSHS System Executive Director.
The APT JSO is the equivalent of the International Science Olympiad in Asia. It is a science competition in laboratory skills assessment in Chemistry, Biology and Physics. The eight –day event was participated in by seventy 13-15 years old gifted students from Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, People’s Republic of China, the Philippines, Republic of Korea, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, and Sweden as an observer country.
